Blantyre Library, situated within the Sports Centre, will be closed for essential maintenance from January 5th to January 12th. South Lanarkshire Leisure & Culture expresses apologies for any inconvenience this may cause to library users during this period.
Blantyre’s new library, located in the Blantyre Sports Centre reception, is open daily from 8am to 8pm on weekdays and 8am to 5pm on weekends. It offers book lending, photocopying, and printing services. Staff are available for assistance during specific hours on weekdays. Photocopying is accessible all day.

Blantyre library has temporarily closed after a visitor tested positive for Covid. South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture posted on their Facebook page that the library would be closed for the rest of today, Thursday 22nd October 2020. It could possibly be closed tomorrow too.
A date has been announced for the re-opening of Blantyre Library. After being closed for over 5 and a half months, South Lanarkshire Council have stated the library at the corner of Glasgow Road and Victoria Street will re-open on Monday 21 September 2020.
