Blantyre library has temporarily closed after a visitor tested positive for Covid. South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture posted on their Facebook page that the library would be closed for the rest of today, Thursday 22nd October 2020. It could possibly be closed tomorrow too.
A date has been announced for the re-opening of Blantyre Library. After being closed for over 5 and a half months, South Lanarkshire Council have stated the library at the corner of Glasgow Road and Victoria Street will re-open on Monday 21 September 2020.

Please be aware that Blantyre Library is temporarily closed until further notice. This follows extensive flooding today. Whilst things are investigated and sorted, the library will remain closed. This means tomorrow’s “Bookbug” and “Messy Hands” is cancelled. We’ll keep you informed once things are resolved.
