Scots are being urged to brace for thunder and some heavy rain today as the grim summer weather is set to continue.
A new yellow thunderstorm alert has been issued by the Met Office for today Saturday, 15th June which covers Central Scotland, the bottom half of the country and parts of northern England. Set to begin at 11am, affected areas can expect to see up to 40mm of rain fall in two to three hours.
