The rain held off and the skies cleared for the Remembrance Service this afternoon at Auchentibber and High Blantyre Cemetery.
Various organisations were represented, including the Scouts and Boys Brigade as the service commenced at 3pm. The event was well attended and a solemn occasion when collectively everybody remembered the sacrifices that previous generations made for our freedoms today.
With thanks to the ministers who conducted the services and to Blantyre Community Council for organising some warm refreshments afterwards at the hall. Thanks again to everybody who came along today.
