£500 for Terminal One

We were absolutely delighted to handover £500 in cash to Terminal One to assist with their Christmas Parties at their recent AGM this week.

The cash donation was handed over to Youth worker, Joanne Tierney on Wednesday 13th November and came from the winding up and now defunct volunteer group, Blantyre Community Committee. It’s just one of several significant donations being made by them to community good causes this festive season.

A spokesperson for Blantyre Community Committee added, “As we wind down our group this month, in terms of physical assets and financials, we found ourselves in the fortunate position of being able to donate what remaining money we had in our Treasurer’s account to various good causes around Blantyre. By posting through Telegraph here, we aim to show these donations have been made in a transparent manner and know such awards will be wisely spent. Our donation to Terminal One will be spent to benefit as many young people as possible.”

Joanne told us, “Thank you very much to Blantyre Community Committee. We’ll make sure this is used to give an extra surprise to our young people over the festive period. It’s sincerely appreciated.”
