The festive events continue today with a second day of Comic Con in Hamilton Town centre, and of course the Blantyre Festive Artisan Market at David Livingstone Birthplace (see earlier post this morning).
If you’re looking for a BIG switch on event nearby, then East Kilbride Village is the place to be later this afternoon. The annual Christmas Lights Switch On festivities will be filled with free entertainment, games and giveaways ahead of the arrival of Santa!

• Various local community acts
Provost Margaret Cooper or Depute Provost Bert Thomson will be joined on stage by specially invited guests for the switching on of the lights. So why not come along to our free afternoon of festive entertainment! Lights are switch on at 5pm, with plenty to see and do all afternoon beforehand. Good parking facilities nearby.
