As it begins to get dark this afternoon, it’s the turn of Blantyre to get our Street Lights and Christmas Tree lights switched on.
The council have been in touch with us and advised today, Sunday 17th November is the big day. The street lights along Glasgow Road, the Christmas tree at the Sports centre, and the one at High Blantyre cross are being quietly, and remotely illuminated around 4.15pm.
This may be an appropriate moment to remind folks that there’s still 37 days left until Christmas Day!
