Some awful breaking new tonight as we’re so very sorry to report that Blantyre’s Kat Ferguson has sadly passed away.
Her family have been in touch and asked for us to make this post to make everybody aware.
Kat (27) had been terminally ill for some time and passed away earlier this evening. You may recall a fundraiser was started last week to help the family as they all faced the reality of Kat’s funeral. Fundraising which helped Kat herself plan her send off.
Her brother Steven told Blantyre Telegraph this evening, “Please thank everyone for their likes, comments, shares and donations. We are and will be forever grateful to every single person that has helped us afford to give our beloved Kat the send off she truly deserves.”
Rest in peace Kat.
