Following Storm Bert damage to former Matt’s Bar in High Blantyre, Main Street is now reopened.
Contractors were in today to strip part of the damaged roof and billboards, making it safer for passing vehicles and pedestrians. The road was closed off for all last night and much of today, Monday 25th November between Larkfield Drive and Muir Street.
Though the barriers are still up this evening, a system of temporary traffic lights has been set up and has allowed 1 lane to re-open ensuring buses and vehicles can pass again.
