These High winds are starting to cause some damage to property, fences and trees. We’re getting reports and photos in. This Blantyre resident, for example, having her fence and garden narrowly missed when this huge tree fell in front of her home.
High Winds can also cause large branches to fall from trees obstructing paths and roads.
If you see a tree blocking a road you should call South Lanarkshire Council and arrange for it to be removed. This can mean it needs broken down with a chain saw into smaller sections before being removed.
