SpaceX Launching Starship: Live Test Tonight

World news next. For those interested, Spaceflight company, ‘Space X’ have scheduled their 7th launch test this evening, Thursday 16th January 2025.

Taking off from Boca Chica, Texas, the test vehicle ‘Starship’ will head to orbit and attempt re-entry to add to the previous progress made on earlier flights. The large booster section will return to Earth and incredibly will return to the exact point it took off. Space X will be attempting probably the craziest aerospace thing ever attempted — once again actually catching the 19-story tall rocket booster in mid-air …..with Mechazilla chopsticks!

Starship is the largest and by far the most powerful space vehicle ever built and is designed to carry dozens of people at any one time.

Space X have contracts in place with Nasa to continue developing and eventually use Starship to return to the moon in the coming next few years and then onward to Mars, something with Space X owner Elon Musk believes will happen by 2028

  1. It is all amazing and very proud it happens in Texas, albeit an 8 or 9 hour drive from me!
I’ve heard people say Musk is nuts but he is a momentous visionary and superb businessman.
