Planning permission has been submitted for new private housing and flats at the former site of St. Cuthbert’s RC Church in Hamilton.
The church, which sat on a 0.6 hectares site was demolished in late 2023. The plot is now vacant and sits empty, but plans are afoot to turn it into a residential site.

The development, if approved, would see the erection of 6 new build 2-storey houses in two terraces and one 3-storey block of 18 flats facing to High Blantyre Road, with associated landscaping, parking and services. The houses would face Glenlee Street and Reid Street in Burnbank.
