Works are now well underway at the new Blantyre Farm (Ferme) Road roundabout.
Contractors have commenced the earthwork operations, clearing the significant site, which extends all the way back to the entrance of Redless Urban Park.
The roundabout near Townfoot, Blantyreferme will also incorporate a new, improved entrance to Redlees Urban Park. The plans are part of necessary infrastructure work to upgrade roads and junctions in readiness for the significant number of private housing being built nearby between Cambuslang and Newton.
A reminder that Calder/Westburn Road is closed between Blantyre Farm Road to Hallside Road, Cambuslang until Sunday 29 June for construction works. Diversion routes are in place.
