Google Maps has updated its maps to include the new Blantyre farm Road Roundabout between Blantyre and Uddingston, but the ground-level street view remains outdated. Opinions are sought regarding the roundabout’s performance and efficiency since its opening a few months ago.
Parts of Blantyre Farm Road, Calder Road, and Westburn Road have been closed since mid-January, but will re-open on July 20th at 5:00 PM due to the completion of a new roundabout. The project also includes landscaping improvements, a new entrance for Redlees Park, and upgraded drainage and lighting.
The Blantyreferme roadworks are nearing completion, with a new roundabout at Blantyre Farm and Calder Road shaping up. Expected to finish by 20th July, the road will reopen, though a 4-day overnight closure is planned for anti-skid surfacing on 11th August. Landscaping and lighting are also in progress.
