It’s easy to forget that parts of Blantyre Farm Road, Calder Road and Westburn Road have been closed since mid January, but at long last….the wait is nearly over, with the backroads set to re-open!
A brand new roundabout junction at Blantyre Farm Road has been built and now nearing completion, is to be finally re-opened at 5.00pm on Sunday 20th July!
It’s been a long wait, especially for commuters with some people asking why the project took so long. The improvements however, aren’t just to the roads, but also for associated landscaping, a new entrance for Redlees park, drainage and include all the necessary new infrastructure to illuminate the new roundabout.
