A yellow warning for snow and ice affecting the Lanarkshire area has been issued by the Met Office and is in effect from 3am until 12pm tomorrow (18 February).
Priority routes on the road network will be treated by gritting teams. Please take care while travelling.
- Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services, especially on routes over higher ground.
- Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
- Injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces are possible
