Cost and Impact of South Lanarkshire Garden Waste Service

South Lanarkshire Council if you recall, announced Garden waste permits back in February this year.

Well, the controversial waste collection service starts tomorrow and a reminder it will cost £45 annually per burgundy bin. What does that mean for residents?

For people without a permit, garden waste in the burgundy bin will be tagged and will NOT be collected. If residents have paid for the uplift service but their permit is not displayed, again, their bin will NOT be collected.
