Here’s a great story of another Blantyre young man doing well in the world! Local student, Seth Hill, has been selected to play for U18 Scotland Rugby League!
Seth and his sporting colleagues will compete in the upcoming 4 Nations games against England, Wales & Ireland this summer and we’re sure all of Blantyre will be watching!
Seth is currently studying for his final exams at Calderside Academy and has been playing rugby from the age of 3.5 years. From P1 to S6 Seth played for Hamilton Rugby Club before recently moving to Whitecraigs Rugby Club and Glasgow Rugby League.
He will continue to train with both teams when he represents Blantyre and Scotland internationally.
This is a remarkable opportunity for Seth who wants to play competitively and hopefully professionally in the future.
To support Seth on his journey and the financial commitments needed to play internationally, his family are looking for the community’s support and generosity by either attending the first fundraising event or by sponsorship donations. Sponsors will be added to Seth’s training kit and will appear with his SFL profile on social media/program material.
The fundraising “Bingo Bongo” event is on Friday 9th May 2025 at the Woodhead Bar, Hamilton.
Tickets are on sale now and a fun night is expected with lots of bingo game prizes.
