There’s one nearby, fantastic water park and still worth visiting! No, we’re not talking about Hamilton. The Time Capsule in Coatbridge is re-opening, now with a confirmed date.
As upgrades are being completed to the Time Capsule Waterpark’s pool plant, the anticipated opening date of Saturday 19 July is nearing!
Most of this work has been carried out beneath the surface; however, North Lanarkshire Council are committed to a phased programme of work to upgrade the whole waterpark with the whole facility to be renovated. While the tipping bucket and yellow flume aren’t ready yet, visitors will notice upgrades across the facility to enhance their swimming experience, including:
• Significant structural improvements to the flume staircase, with the purple flume expected to be operational upon reopening.
• Replacing old pumps and air blowers across every area from waterfalls and river rapids to bubble seats and geysers
• New underwater LED colour changing lights for enhanced ambiance and visual appeal in the pool areas.
• Repairs and Resurfacing of River Rapid Slides: Enhanced safety and improved ride quality for an exhilarating experience.
• Upgraded shower areas to modernised facilities for a better swimmer experience.
• Replacement of Rubber Crumb Flooring: Improved safety and comfort at Splashdown Island and Coral Cove with fresh, durable surfaces.
• Upgrades and redecoration of the reception and gallery café areas.
Booking opens Monday 14 July
