Local man Paul Barrett is taking part in a charitable run to help a 2 year old girl.
Paul was motivated and moved when he saw 2 year old Paisley’s story on TikTok. Little Paisley who lives in England has stage 4 cancer, and her story is exceptionally moving receiving palliative care.
Paul, a former addict who lives in Blantyre has run a half marathon from Blantyre to Glasgow and took time to organise the fundraiser. He told us, “I’m wondering if you can share her story for me and this story to try get as many donations as possible. The page is called addicted to life. And I’m a recovering addict. When I saw Paisley’s videos come up, I sat for a hour crying my eyes out and then went to bed wondering how I can help this little girl.”
Paul added, “People don’t realise how lucky they have it in life and the want for external things in life , when our lives can change in a flash , the way it has for Paisley and her family. Always be grateful for what we have.”
