Strathaven skies were glowing last night as the Strathaven Balloon Festival lit up their balloons, dancing in time to music.
Over 25 Giant inflatable balloons took part in the 25th Strathaven Balloon Festival which is estimated to have attracted as many as 30,000 people throughout the full weekend. It was a huge success following disappointment last year in 2024 after high winds from Hurricane Ernesto hit the UK.
The “Saturday night glow” saw teams of pilots fire their burners in time to music, making the balloons appear to dance in the darkness.
The festival will also brought fun and games, live musical entertainment, a variety of quality market stalls, a funfair and a classic car exhibition amongst other festivities.
