Glasgow’s festive celebrations will look different this year as M&D’s theme park operator takes the reins. With George Square closed for refurbishment until August 2026, the city’s Christmas fun will shift to two new hubs at Glasgow Green and St Enoch Square.
Glasgow City Council reviewed its festive programme and invited bids to run the hubs for 2025 and 2026. Officials are recommending the contract go to Lochview Theme Park (Scotland) Ltd, the company behind Scotland’s Theme Park at Strathclyde Park.
