How disappointing and annoying it is to see one of the 7-a-side pitches at Hamilton Palace Sports Ground being badly damaged on Friday night.
It was caused by a vehicle driving onto the pitch to launch fireworks, leaving behind scars across the landscape, requiring remedial attention. Some idiots just don’t stop to think. This is a well-used football pitch that will be out of action indefinitely due to this act of vandalism.
As nearby CCTV gets checked, South Lanarkshire Council are also asking for residents to get in touch if they have any information about who caused this.
