Friday evening at Crossbasket was the place to be for a wee bit of festive cheer. We were delighted yesterday to pop along to Crossbasket Castle for a charitable event to raise money for Children’s Charity Crossbasket House in Glasgow.
The occasion was switching on the Christmas lights at Crossbasket’s grounds.
Lights were switched on just after 6pm on Friday 28th November, with a focal point being the Christmas tree near the fountain outside. Lights also went on all throughout the castle, Foverans and Trocaderos, as well as illuminated walkways outside.
It was a ticketed charity event. Served with complimentary mulled wine, cider, pigs in blankets and mince pies, there were a decent amount of attendees. Despite the blustery weather, the rain stayed off and altogether, over £1,000 was raised for Glasgow Children’s Charity, ‘Crossbasket House’.
