A huge congratulations to SKATE RITE who last night held their inaugural skating session at Blantyre’s TACT Hall, in Coatshill.
The first session was immensely popular with a huge waiting list in the sidelines, prompting discussions about more sessions. We were delighted to come along last night on Friday 9th January, and drop off some fantastic raffle prizes including a games console and perfume. Premier Mos sponsored Skate Rite, having donated £500 which bought further roller skates for children and adults alike.
Bringing roller skating to Blantyre is a wonderful idea and organisers have done incredibly to get this up and running so quickly.
Organiser Nic, spoke with passion and confidence at the start of the event, launching the endeavour and welcoming everybody into what she hopes will be an amazing hobby for many local people.
