Rising Jet Fuel Prices Impact Airline Ticket Costs

The price of jet fuel has almost doubled since America and Israel unleashed their war on Iran.

In just under a week, fuel used by airlines has reportedly surged prompting some major airlines having to increase their ticket prices.

The Gulf is a primary source of jet fuel for the world’s airlines, most of it coming through the Strait of Hormuz, which is effectively at a standstill at present. Whilst some airlines rely on fuel reserves for price stability, others are having to buy in supplies at enhanced rates , which ultimately will be passed on to us, the customers.
