A reminder to drivers that Raith Interchange is expected to be busy this weekend, whilst the slip road on to the M74 is fully closed.
The sliproad off the Raith roundabout on to the M74 Southbound at Junction 5 will be closed all weekend and wont reopen until 6am on Monday morning. This means drivers won’t have access on to the motorway at that location, forcing a lenghty diversion to other junctions.
Maybe best avoided if possible.
Traffic Scotland said: “The closure is required to ensure road user and road worker safety whilst essential carriageway re-construction and resurfacing works are undertaken and have been scheduled over a full weekend to minimise disruption to traffic as much as possible.
“The road will reopen at 6am on Monday morning.”
