Construction Begins soon on Larkhall’s New £27M Leisure Facility

Work begins later this month on South Lanarkshire Council’s new leisure centre at Larkhall.

The £27m state of the art building which includes pool, gym and hall will replace the existing 60 year old facility and is one of the most expensive buildings the council have ever procured.

South Lanarkshire Council leader, Joe Fagan commented “The new Larkhall Leisure Centre has been designed not only to reflect the needs of the Larkhall community just now but for generations to come.”

“I am delighted that the project is moving at pace and that my administration was able to secure the funding needed to create this state-of-the-art facility in the heart of the town.

“We are delivering on a long-standing commitment to build a new leisure centre after robust but meaningful and constructive dialogue with stakeholders. This is a game-changing project for Larkhall and for the surrounding area.”
