Our Poll Snapshots – Not actual election results

Our Election week polling sample is now closed. Though this is NOT the actual election result, the sample of 1,062 people who randomly took part before polling day throws up some interesting results.

Our Constituency Poll has suggested Clare Haughey of the SNP is currently ahead on 56%, with Allan Lyons of Reform UK on 26% and Monica Lennon of Scottish Labour & Co-operative Party on 13%.

Further down the poll, Patrick Logue of the Scottish Liberal Democrats and Chris Sermanni of the Scottish Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition are both shown on 2%, while Annie Wells of the Scottish Conservative & Unionist Party is on 1%.

In our other poll, the Regional Poll, and if replicated throughout Scotland, it shows that Reform could potentially have massive gains in Scotland. Indeed, this looks like it will be an excellent result for Reform. However, our poll still shows SNP taking the lead, a tight race at the top, with the SNP leading on 39%, closely followed by Reform UK on 36%. Such a result may indicate SNP winning the most votes, but perhaps not quite there with an outright majority.

Behind the top two, there’s a noticeable gap, with the Scottish Green Party on 9% and Scottish Labour Party on 5%. All other parties and independents are on 2% or below, suggesting mainly a contest between the SNP and Reform UK, with excellent gains by the Greens and potentially not the regional results Scottish Labour would have hoped for. Scottish Conservatives barely registering, trailing behind some of the Indpendents.

As ever, it’s worth remembering these are only small sample polls from the general Lanarkshire area and not an actual election result.

Of course, the actual vote count gathered from polling stations all over Scotland still has to happen. SO…. this should be treated with utmost caution and is only a a small snapshot of 1,062 people’s opinion at one point in time. However, we’ve used these methods to predict previous political trends with some success, so it will be interesting to see if there is any resemblence to the actual outcome on Friday.

Interesting times! Have your say. Do YOU think this could resemble the outcome ?

Disclaimer: Polls can be interesting and can show indiactive trends as they have done here in this page over the years, but they are NOT election results and NOT to be relied upon.

The only result that truly matters will be the actual count, when real votes are cast and counted and announced on Friday afternoon. Good luck to ALL the candidates for all their efforts!
