Today’s Topic – A9 Reopens after Lorry Fire

The A9 has reopened after a Tesco delivery lorry caught fire, prompting a major emergency response.

The busy route was closed in both directions following the incident just south of Dunkeld in Perth and Kinross at around 6.21am on Tuesday morning.

Three fire engines attended the scene as crews worked to tackle the blaze, while diversions were put in place for motorists throughout the day. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Police Scotland confirmed the road reopened to all traffic at around 5.40pm after being shut for more than 11 hours.
