Higher energy bills are coming for 30 million UK households as the energy regulator increases the price cap.
From 1st July gas and electricity prices are set to rise by nearly 13%, impacted directly by America’s war with Iran. Whilst people use less energy in Summer, unfortunately analysts predict bills – driven by the increase in the cost of gas – are likely to remain elevated right into the winter.
Regulator Ofgem says the war means a household using a typical amount of gas and electricity will pay £221 more a year, with an annual bill of £1,862.
