You may have seen the recent news that the Government will be increasing the energy price cap from 1st July 2026.
Set by the energy regulator, Ofgem, this change applies to all energy providers in the UK and reflects continued rising costs in delivering energy to homes. A difficult time for many as higher energy bills are never welcome, especially if they continue into Winter.
This wave of price increases is primarily a direct result of events a few months ago, when America went to war with Iran.
We’ve had our own price increases notified by the energy company we use putting 1.5p per unit on both gas and electricity, around £400 a year more.
