Are you sitting on £1million ?

The National Lottery is appealing for players in Scotland to dig out their old tickets after revealing that a £1 million Lotto prize still remains unclaimed.

The winning ticket was purchased from a retailer in Aberdeenshire for the Lotto draw held on Saturday, August 8.

The lucky ticket matched five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball in the second round of the draw – securing its owner a life-changing £1 million.

However, the winner has yet to come forward and may still be completely unaware that they are sitting on a fortune. Clearly not checked their ticket yet.

The ticket-holder has until February 4 next year to claim the £1m prize.

Even those who have misplaced or lost their ticket could potentially make a claim if they genuinely believe they are the winner. In those circumstances, they must contact the lottery operator within 30 days of the draw, meaning the deadline is September 7.

Lynn Devlin, winner’s experience lead at National Lottery operator Allwyn, said the discovery could come as an incredible surprise for somebody who bought their ticket several weeks ago.

So, if you bought a Lotto ticket in Aberdeenshire for the August 8 draw, now might be a very good time to check those pockets, wallets, handbags and drawers!

Someone out there could be £1 million richer without even knowing it. 🍀💷
