It’s another fantastic milestone for a growing page which first started out back in 2011, and we simply want to say a huge THANK YOU to everybody who follows, reads, comments, reacts and shares our posts.
What began as a small local page has grown into a thriving online community expanding into Lanarkshire and beyond (with just as many people following in other towns, as Blantyre itself!). Bringing you local, regional and national news, community updates, events, nostalgia, photographs, weather, breaking stories and plenty of conversation about everything happening in and around Blantyre.
Reaching 32,000 followers means a great deal to us, surpassing some other well known media outlets with an enormous network of individuals and organisations in the background supporting and providing articles. It’s great to know that so many people continue to take an interest in the town and the stories we share.
Whether you’ve been following Blantyre Telegraph since the early days or have only recently discovered the page, thank you for being part of our journey.
We’ll primarily continue doing what we’ve done since 2011 supporting our community and being able to help local good causes financially through the small monthly subscriptions from our most supportive, loyal and generous readers. To everybody else, though you may only have limited access to some of our stories, will still provide a free, safe, well managed place to share your opinions, comments under stories that matter.
