After a very gusty day and night, Storm Boelo isn’t quite done yet.
As we wake up with an extra hour this morning, Sunday is expected to see the storm remain throughout the day and into the evening bringing more travel disruption to the UK.
Gusts of 85mph (137 km/h) were recorded overnight which no doubt will have brought down or damaged some trees. Have YOU seen any storm damage this morning?
On the railways, people are being told not to travel north of Preston on the West Coast Main Line – while on the East Coast, LNER advises against travel north of Edinburgh. Many ferry services are also suspended. The A82 at the Bridge of Orchy is closed in both directions due to fallen trees.
Winds should ease tonight with a lull in the weather tomorrow before another day of strong winds on Tuesday.
For now though, Amber warnings for wind remain in place across large parts of Scotland, northern England and parts of Northern Ireland. A further yellow warning for wind will remain in place until 21:00 GMT for most of Scotland, including the Orkney Islands, and northern England.
Let us know if you’ve seen any storm damage. Share your photos in the comments and stay safe out there!
