Wee Gurkha has reopened after a brief closure on Thursday, 23rd, due to essential gas works outside. Located at Main Street and Hunthill Road, the restaurant’s disruption was minimal. While gas works continue on Hunthill Road, the restaurant is functioning normally once more.

Another Bothwell Fire

Fire crews responded to a blaze at ‘Nel & Co’ restaurant in Bothwell on October 22, alerted shortly before 12:30 AM. Three fire appliances and a high reach vehicle were deployed; no casualties were reported. This incident follows a previous fire at another restaurant, ‘Cut,’ which is considered wilful. Investigations continue.
