South Lanarkshire Council are working at the Village, Blantyre next week to surface existing footpaths. Setting up on Monday 20th May 2024, works are scheduled to take place on Station Road between the Livingstone Birthplace and Ness Drive. Footpaths on either side will be resurfaced and are expected to be complete by 28th May 2024.

Following the last 2 disruptive weeks of roadworks, Main Street in High Blantyre is now all clear. The final road closure restriction was thankfully lifted yesterday Thursday 28th March 2024 with the road open as normal between Craigmiur Road and Nairn Street junctions.
