From next week, teams will begin clearing litter from rural roads around East Kilbride, including Stoneymeadow Road. The programme will extend to other areas in the following weeks. To ensure safety, road access will be limited between 9am and 3.30pm. Drivers should expect delays and penalties for littering are strict.

A week-long clean-up of litter from South Lanarkshire Council-owned roads has begun, with teams working near Blantyre today on Blantyre Farm Road and Calder Road down to the bridge. Drivers are thanked for their patience as this necessary clean up takes place.
