Schools in South Lanarkshire will be closed tomorrow, Monday 10th November, for an in-service day. The next break will be the Christmas holiday, beginning at 2.30pm on Friday 19th December, when schools will close for the holiday season.

Hillhouse Road (Eastbound) is undergoing evening closures this week for anti-skid surfacing, with completion expected soon. Additionally, on Friday 17 January, westbound access to Technology Avenue will close from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm for anti-skid installation, requiring diversions through Hillhouse Road and its roundabouts.
Starting Monday, January 13th, Calder Road and Westburn Road will close from Blantyre Farm Road to Hallside Road for six months due to roundabout construction. Traffic on Blantyre Farm Road will increase. Diversion routes are provided for vehicles under and over 4.6m to manage the disruption effectively.
Roadworks are resuming in Lanarkshire post-festive season. Hillhouse Road (Eastbound) will be closed nightly from 9.00pm to 6.00am, January 13 to 15, for anti-skid installation. Diversions will be in effect, leading to increased traffic on surrounding roads during the work period.
