Amey, representing Transport Scotland, is set to resurface the A725 westbound at Crossbaskets, East Kilbride, from May 15 to May 22, 2025. This project will involve lane closures, a contraflow system, and overnight work with signed diversions in place. Traffic management will conclude by 6am on May 22.
The Council is utilizing the school closure period for carriageway repairs. Calder Street will be closed between Craig and Victoria Streets, as well as Victoria Street between Calder Street and Glasgow Road, from February 17 to 18. Diversions are in place, and alternate routes are recommended during this time.
Essential resurfacing works will affect Newhousemill Road in Hamilton starting January 27, closing the road from Muttonhole Road to Lismore until January 31. While general traffic will be restricted, access for residents and businesses will be maintained as much as possible. A diversion route is established, and delays may occur.
Calder/Westburn Road will be closed from Blantyre Farm Road to Hallside Road, Cambuslang, from 7am on January 13 to 5pm on June 29 for roundabout construction, while Blantyre Farm Road remains open.
