The Glasgow Inflatable 5K Obstacle Course & Fun Run is taking place at Strathclyde Country Park on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Participants can enjoy giant inflatable obstacles while choosing from varying distances of 2.5km to 15km. The event is suitable for families, with children aged 5-15 allowed accompanied by adults.
Local business ‘Karen Yuill Recovery’ successfully recovered a stranded vehicle at Strathclyde Park on Wednesday. Using their boat, they assisted in getting the 4×4 to the water with the HI-AB truck anchoring it, enabling a recovery operator in the boat to hook the car and pull it onto the truck.
A car rolled into Strathclyde Loch from a car park last night, but fortunately, no injuries occurred. Police reported the incident happened around 7:20 PM on June 21, 2025. Emergency services recovered the vehicle, and a man has been charged with a road traffic offence related to the incident.
