Muggy conditions are set to arrive in Scotland from tomorrow. Lets hope the sun breaks through, although the forecast is suggesting , it won’t! Temperatures will start to rise on Tuesday with Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth and Fife rising into the low 20s. The peak in heat will come on Wednesday, along with high humidity, which will make it feel rather uncomfortable for some. By midweek the high will be around the mid 20s across much or Moray, Inverness, north and west Highlands, Hebrides and central and southern Scotland. Places such as Kinlochewe, Ullapool, Glasgow and Ayr may reach 26-27C and Dumfries could manage up to 28-29C. Aberdeenshire and Angus will be cooler with 18-20C likely due to the wind coming in from the North Sea.
The high humidity and heat will spark off some thunderstorms on Wednesday which will drift north across Scotland, especially in the evening. These storms may bring some very heavy downpours, along with a risk of large hail.
