Crossbasket Nativity

Christmas was in full swing today at Crossbasket Castle where the newly completed grand ballroom was put to great use to host the Nursery children’s Nativity concert.

Parents, grandparents and relatives packed into the new extension sitting in theatre format facing the stage, where the kids treated the audience to Christmas songs and performed their nativity play. It was clear how much effort had gone in to costumes and the performances themselves which was hosted by kids aged from 2 to 4 years old.

The venue was absolutely perfect with the parents getting to see for themselves the newly constructed function suite, in the most idyllic of surroundings.

As all this was going on, teams of workers were putting up Christmas decorations in the castle and gardeners were still laying turf and putting all the finishing touches on the outside ahead of this Monday’s open day.

From 11am until 6pm, residents of Blantyre and further afield will have the chance to see for themselves what the finished £9m renovation looks like at a special “doors open” day on Monday 21st December 2015. All are welcome to the free event.
