It’s all change at the West End Bar! Blantyre’s Jon and Jamie McDowall are hereby announced as the new owners.
The lads have kept ther acquisition pretty quiet for the last ew weeks with only a few people knowing, but today, Monday 01 July 2019 they have announced the news to all.
Jamie has been running as General Manger for the last year so he’s certainly no stranger to the hard work of running pub. Co-owner, Jon McDowall told us , “This is a huge step in our lives. We’re looking forward to what the year brings us. We’re leasing the building from Lisini but own the business that is running it.”
Their business is called JOJA Pub Co Ltd, continuing to trade as the West End Bar.
No big changes are planned as yet however they’ve started a quiz on a Thursday and are starting entertainment on a Friday evening as well as continuing with Saturday entertainment.
The lads are also offering a FREE function room hire. All the staff have been retained moving over to the new owners, which is nice to see. It should be the same faces at the pub. The opening hours will be changing, opening earlier to suit customers requests.
