Two talented Calderside Academy pupils have been given a wonderful chance to dance on stage in a popular, well known concert!
Rachael-Jane Greenhorn and her friend, Samantha Paterson have been dancing since they were 2 years old. Now both 13, the lucky youngsters were up on stage dancing last night Thursday 17th October in the show Totally Tina, at Glasgow Pavilion. The show is the UKs number one Tina Turner Tribute.
Rachael’s mother Mary told us, ” They done so well, battled the nerves and us parents are super proud!”
She added, “Samantha’s mum Michelle and I are fans of the show and contacted Justine Riddoch to see if the girls could possibly join them on stage. We sent her some footage. Justine loved what she saw and 2 weeks ago sent the girls a routine which they got perform last night on stage”
The theatre staff and production team for ‘Totally Tina’ went all out giving them the young girls with big dreams, their own dressing room.
The local lassies got great reviews and a much deserved standing ovation. It was a dream for the girls to dance on stage at such a popular production and venue, doing Blantyre (and their families) proud!
