It’s with much sadness we learned tonight that well known man and retired barber, Jimmy Cleary has passed away.
Jimmy was a popular man working in the barber trade on Glasgow Road then later at Station Road alongside his business colleague. We’re sure many people will remember getting their hair cut by Jimmy as he chatted merrily about what was happening in Blantyre.
Jimmy lived a long life and sadly passed away on 1st December 2019, age 88. His rosary is in St Joseph’s Chapel, Glasgow Road, Blantyre on Monday 9th December at 5.45pm. His funeral takes place the following day on Tuesday 10th December, also at St Josephs at 10am.
