It’s been hard to find other news this week that’s NOT related in some way to Coronavirus, but there are some stories out there still worth reporting. Whilst being of less importance just now as all our lives change, we still intend to report on the “everyday” matters too.
Milheugh Bridge at the foot of the Pech Brae at the Calder has been damaged. Not a year after the sandstone blocks on this bridge were repaired, vehicles have again caused considerable damage dislodging the blocks near the gates to the field. Indeed, one block is heavily cracked, others have moved out of alignment.
Repairs will likely be low priority at this time, but we thought it prudent to be mindful to be careful if you’re near this location either by foot or in a vehicle.
