South Lanarkshire Council have reopened the following car parks in line with Phase 1 of the Scottish Government’s route map for easing lockdown:
Vehicles will now be permitted from today, Friday 29 May 2020 back into:
– Calderglen Country Park, East Kilbride
– Castlebank Park, Lanark
– Chatelherault Country Park, Hamilton
– Greenhall Park, Blantyre
– James Hamilton Heritage Park, East Kilbride
– Lanark Loch and Racecourse area
– Law Park, Law
– Overtoun Park, Rutherglen
– Tinto Hill
Government advice is to travel no more than 5 miles from your home so please consider if you should be visiting our parks.
If, when you get there, the car park is busy this means that the park will also be busy – is your visit worth the risk to your health and the health of others? Parking at Calderglen is limited and once the car park is full you will be turned away.
Cafés, toilets and information centres remain closed.
Play park Equipment at each location also remain closed until further notice.
