Given the current pandemic, an important decision was announced today, cancelling next year’s Higher and Advanced Highers exams in Scottish schools.
The Scottish Government’s decision will affect more than 200,000 pupils and was based on the disruption that Covid has caused to the education system rather than safety concerns. Pupils will now be graded on the judgement of their teachers, meaning a focus on current and future assessments and assignments through the rest of the school year.
The country’s National 5 exams have already been cancelled.
