It’s with sadness we recently learned of the passing of well known Blantyre man, Jim Wylie. The popular gent who has given so much to the community of Blantyre passed away on 24th August 2021. He was 75.
Jim was perhaps most well known for his dedication and long standing association with Blantyre Victoria Football club and Blantyre Miners Welfare indoor bowling. He was truly an all round Blantyre man!
As we extend our sympathies to the family at this sad time, they’ve now released funeral details.
The funeral takes place on Monday, 6th September 2021 at 10am in Smiths Funeral Parlour on Stonefield Road. Then, on to nearby Priestfield Cemetery at 11am. Afterwards on to Blantyre miners welfare.
The family added, “Anyone who wants to pay their respects are more than welcome. He will be sadly missed by his family.”
