People are urged to look out for emails pretending to ask for you to apply for a covid travel or vaccination passport. The scam ultimately seeks to get your bank details!
As genuine covid certificates are soon to be rolled out for some instances in the hospitality trade, this should not be confused with unscrupulous scams seeking to defraud you.
One reader told us how he was nearly fooled by an email which asked him to apply for a covid travel passport. The email looks official and takes you to a fake NHS, well built website which after date of birth is entered , takes the user on to a bank details page!
NHS will never ask for your bank details on any online website.
